Police have arrested Binod Gharti, 36, of Rapti Sonari Rural Municipality-8, Dang from Kalimati Rural Municipality-on December 31, 2021, on the charge of raping a 17-year-old girl.
The victim had lodged a complaint at the Area Police Office, Luham on January 2, 2022, alleging that the accused had raped her while she was visiting her relative’s house in Salyan.
The health checkup of the victim was conducted at the District Hospital, Salyan on January 1, 2022, informed Dasharath Shrestha, Chief of the hospital.
Inspector Shyamprakash Yadav of the Area Police Office informed that further investigation is underway into the incident.
