Bimala Chaudhary, 31, of Bhuiyanphata in Kailari Rural Municipality-7 has been provided financial assistance by INSEC Sudurpaschim Province Office, Dhangadhi on November 1, 2021.
Khadak Raj Joshi, Coordinator of INSEC Sudurpaschim Province Office, Dhangadhi, has provided financial assistance to NRs. 10,000 to the victim after the recommendation of Kailari Rural Municipality Level Human Rights Defenders Network Committee. Coordinator Joshi said that the victims were facing problems in getting justice due to the lack of funds. He further added that the victims could not even afford the transportation expenses due to the lack of funds.
Bimala was married to Kishore Chaudhary, 32, of Bhajani Municipality-9. Her husband had been verbally abusing, beating her, and evicting her from her house time and again. Bimala lamented regarding her situation and shared about her situation with INSEC. According to Bimala, she couldn’t tolerate the torture anymore so she appealed to the District Court for justice. A case was then filed against her husband regarding separation and partition of property.
According to Santaram Dagora, Chairperson of the Human Rights Defenders Network Committee, the victim had appealed with the Kailari Rural Municipality Level Human Rights Defenders Network Committee on August 23, 2021, to provide financial assistance for the judicial process.
