Police have arrested Phangsir Ghyawa, 66, of Thosne Khola in Konjyosom Rural Municipality-1 on July 12, 2021, on the charge of raping a seven-year-old girl.
The victim had lodged a complaint against the accused at the Metropolitan Police Circle, Chapagaun alleging that she had raped the girl at her residence on July 12.
According to SP Prajwal Maharjan of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Jawalakhel, the accused has been remanded in custody by the Lalitpur District Court for five days on July 13.
The victim was examined at Patan Hospital on July 12, 2021.
