Police have arrested Bawin Shahi, 18, of Sarkegad Rural Municipality-5 in Humla district on June 30, 2021, on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl.
The victim’s uncle had filed a complaint at the District Police Office, Kailali after receiving information that the accused had kept the girl at his relative’s house at Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan Municipality-12, Kailali.
According to DSP Pratik Bista of the District Police Office, Kailali, the accused has been arrested from Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan-12 Jugeda based on a complaint lodged by the victim.
According to DSP Bista, the health checkup of the victim was conducted at Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi on June 30.
