District Court has ordered one year of imprisonment to Ram Bahadur Shahi, 22, of Dullu Municipality-13 on June 27, 2021, for sexually abusing a 15-year-old girl. The guilty was also charged NRs. 10,000 as fine.
Tikaram Neupane, Information Officer of the court informed the INSEC representative that the decision was taken by the bench of District Judge Dandapani Lamichhane. He further added that the guilty will deposit NRs 400 to the victim’s relief fund.
The victim was sexually abused on July 26, 2020, and the complaint was filed on July 28, 2020, at the District Police Office. The accused was remanded in custody on August 23, 2020.
The health checkup of the victim was conducted on July 28, 2020, at the District Hospital, informed Sabina Dahal.
