A complaint has been filed against the murder of Shiwani Kumari Yadav, 9, of Dakneshwari Municipality-3 by an unidentified person on June 18, 2021.
The dead body of Shiwani was found in the mango garden of Shivanath Yadav at Hatel Puwariya Tole in Dakneshwari Municipality-3, informed Shobhananda Raya, a local of the area.
He said that the body was found lying on the ground two meters away from the place of the murder and a sickle was found near the dead body.
According to SP Rajendra Prasad Dhamala of the District Police Office, the incident was investigated by bringing a trained dog from the Federal Police Office, Janakpur.
A team led by SP Dhamla and inspectors from Area Police Office Kalyanpur and Kadarbona reached the spot after the incident.
The body was sent to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan on June 19, 2021, for post-mortem.
Ram Udgar Yadav, the father of the deceased, said that the incident took place when Shiwani Kumari and her five-year-old sister had gone out to graze goats and cut grass and later Shiwani sent back her sister after it started drizzling.
