Police have filed a case through the District Public Prosecutor’s Office against the 51-year-old father on June 13, 2021, on the charge of raping and murdering his 10-year-old daughter.
A case has been registered against the accused in the District Court, Kailali on June 13 and the accused has been remanded for investigation, informed Sur Bahadur Pariyar, Assistant Judge of the District Public Prosecutor Office.
The accused father had taken the dead body of his daughter to Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi for post-mortem saying that his daughter had committed suicide. After interrogation, it was revealed that the victim was raped and killed by her own father.
The body of the girl was found hanging in a buffalo shed on June 10. The victim’s side had lodged a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office, Lamki on June 11.
The post-mortem of the body was conducted at Seti Provincial Hospital, Dhangadhi on June 10 and handed over to the relatives on the same day, said SI Narendra Bhandari.
