Police have arrested Mukesh Prasad Yadav, 28, of Suwarna Rural Municipality-4, Hardiya Tole on June 16 on the charge of giving death threat to Nabin Kumar Shriwastav, 35, resident of Godaita Municipality-12 and Chief Administrative Officer of Suwarna Rural Municipality. He was arrested on June 16, 2021.
According to DSP Gautam Mishra of the District Police Office, Yadav was arrested from the rural municipality office after the victim informed the police that the accused gave him a death threat through SMS, audio message and phone call.
According to Shriwastav, he lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on June 16 after continuously receiving death threats from the accused.
An investigation team was formed under the lead of DSP Gautam. During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused had threatened the victim from an unknown number as he would get a ransom of Rs 1.5 million.
DSP Mishra informed that the incident will be investigated and action will be taken as per the law.
