Victim Accuses Police of not Filing Complaint against Abduction

The family of the victim has alleged the Area Police Office, Mahendranagar of not filing the complaint of the abduction of Ranjita Kumari, 18, of Kshireshwar Nath Municipality-4 on March 29.

Ram Ekwal Mahara, the uncle of the victim, told INSEC Dhanusha that Ranjita Mahara had been abducted and held hostage by Mohammad Kalam Hussain Raine, 25, of the same place since March 22.

Ram Ekwal suspects that his neighbor Kamal Hussain might have held her hostage and attempted misdeed because he had been repeatedly proposing love to his niece even though he is married.

Despite informing the Area Police Office, Mahendranagar, the police did not register the case and the whereabouts of the niece is unknown.

According to Ram Ekwal, the accused Kamal Hussain’s 23-year-old brother Jalaluddin Raine had beaten him on March 25.

The victim, Ram Ekwal, alleged that Hussein’s family members had repeatedly attacked him because they were poor and weak.

It is mentioned in the complaint filed by the victim Ram Ekwal that Jalaluddin Raine came to his house and threatened to traffic Ranjita to India.

DSP Makendra Kumar Mishra of the District Police Office Dhanusha said that a complaint has been lodged with the police.

Stating that the complaint lodged by the victim at the District Police Office, Dhanusha has been sent to the Area Police Office, Dhanusha for investigation, DSP Mishra informed that the incident is being investigated.
