Chalim Sada has been sentenced to three years in prison for attempting to rape a 35-year-old woman. A bench of Justice Suryanath Prakash Adhikari proved him guilty and sentenced him to three years of jail term on March 17.
According to the victim, Sada had tried to rape her on May 6, 2018, while she was going to the forest near Chure in Surunga Municipality-1 to cut grass.
The victim had lodged a complaint at the Area Police Office, Kadarbona on May 6, 2018. The Area Police Office, Kadarbona had arrested Sada and registered a complaint on May 9, 2018.
The victim was examined at Ram Kumar Umaprasad Sarada Memorial Hospital in Lahan Municipality-3 on May 9, 2018.
According to the district court, the accused was in judicial custody since May 31, 2018.
