Ramesh Raya, 38, of Haripurwa Municipality-9 was beaten by Raj Kumar Yadav, 35, of Janata Samajwadi Party of Haripurwa Municipality-8 on March 13.
Raya has lodged a complaint at the Area Police Office, Haripurwa on March 15.
According to the victim’s wife, Yadav attacked Ramesh with a rod during a dispute caused due to financial issues related to Ramesh’s business.
Ramesh has sustained injuries to his head, chest, and right hand. ASI Ram Naresh Yadav of Area Police Office Haripurwa informed that he was treated at Model Hospital, Nabalpur in Lalbandi Municipality-1 and taken to Birgunj for further treatment.
Accused Yadav is absconding after the incident, informed ASI Yadav.
