District court has sentenced Ravi GC, 32, of Jaljala Rural Municipality-4 to seven years in prison for raping a 22-year-old girl.
A bench of Judge Balram Tripathi convicted the accused and sentenced him to seven years imprisonment on March 14 and he was also fined Rs 50,000 as compensation, informed Parbat District Court’s Information Officer Ram Bahadur Thapa.
The victim had lodged a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office, Parbat on June 19 accusing him of raping her on May 29.
