Dilip Sapkota, 20, of Jugal Rural Municipality-4, who was absconding after gang-raping a 32-year-old woman, was arrested from Chautara Bazaar on March 3, informed District Police Office Inspector Ram Chandra Ghimire.
It is alleged that the victim was gang-raped by four persons while she was returning from Jalbire Hospital.
Among the accused involved in the incident, Bikash Silwal, 26, of Jugal Rural Municipality -4 and Sundar Shrestha, 24, of the same Rural Municipality -5 were arrested by the police on October 10, 2020, and presented before the court.
Kailash Nepali, 24, of the same place was arrested by the police from Kathmandu on February 8, 2021.
According to DSP Prakash Sapkota of the District Police Office, the complaint lodged by the victim was registered at the District Police Office on October 6.
The victim was examined at Chautara Hospital on October 6. The victim has been kept at the Women’s Rehabilitation Center at Chautara and has been rehabilitated and sent home.
