A complaint was filed at the District Police Office, Malangwa on February 25 by Nepali Congress cadre Bilas Mahato, 44, alleging an unidentified of setting fire to his house in Chhathiaghat of Dhankaul Rural Municipality-5.
According to the complaint, the fire started at 10 pm in February.
DSP Madan Kunwar of the District Police Office said the fire was brought under control by a joint team of security personnel from the Area Police Office, Harkathawa and the Armed Police Force.
According to DSP Kunwar, Ram Bishwas Yadav, 34, of Dhankaul Rural Municipality-5, Harkathawa was arrested on the basis of suspicion after the victim’s complaint.
