Police have arrested Bablu Sah, 21, of Jahada Rural Municipality-7 on the charge of assaulting Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ram Kumar Majhi, 31, of Majhare Police Station in Jahada Rural Municipality -5.
DSP Man Bahadur Rai of the District Police Office told INSEC that Majhi was attacked when he was delegated in the incident spot on the basis of information regarding diesel being smuggled to India. Sah came on his motorbike (Ko 14 Pa 763) and attacked ASI Majhi.
According to DSP Rai, Majhi sustained injuries in both eyes and his nose was broken too. He was attacked while he was on duty to stop diesel smuggling in Jahada Rural Municipality-5 Laxminiya. The victim has been treated at Birat Nursing Home on February 7.
