Suk Bahadur Tamang, 21, of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-18 has been sentenced to seven years in prison for raping a 17-year-old girl.
A bench of District Court Judge Gayatri Regmi passed the verdict on December 30.
The victim was raped on July 10, 2020. The victim’s mother had lodged a complaint at the District Police Office on July 12, 2020, alleging that she had raped the girl.
The accused was arrested by the police on July 12. The girl was examined at Bharatpur Hospital on July 12.
