A refresher training on documenting the statistics of human rights violations and abuses have been completed in Nepalgunj on November 3 with the financial support of INSEC Lumbini Provincial Office, Nepalgunj and DCA.
The training has been organized for the INSEC representatives of the districts working under INSEC Lumbini Provincial Office, Nepalgunj with the objective of digitizing the actual statistics of human rights violations.
Addressing the program through a virtual medium, INSEC Executive Director Bijay Raj Gautam said that the incidents of human rights violations collected by the district representatives should be based on facts and stressed on the need for INSEC representatives to make all the incidents included in the Nepal Human Rights Year Book credible and factual.
Chief of the Department of Human Rights Documentation and Advocacy, Shree Ram Bajgain, said that the training was organized to make human rights archiving more technological and to enhance the capacity of district representatives.
INSEC Lumbini Chief Bhola Mahat said that the district representatives should be active in streamlining the data. Focal person, Sarita Puri said that the records should be kept accurate.
Binod Pandey, Documentation Officer, INSEC Lumbini Provincial Office, Nepalgunj, facilitated the entry of the events collected for the yearbook into the software.
