Police have arrested Panchu Sardar, 35, of Kanchanrup Municipality-7 on October 4 on a charge of raping a 14-year-old girl.
According to SP Rajendra Prasad Dhamala of the District Police Office, Saptari, the victim lodged a complaint against the accused at the Area Police Office, Kanchanpur on October 5.
The girl has been examined at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital in Rajbiraj on October 5.
