Police have arrested Jaya Krishna Shrestha (34) of Aabukhaireni Rural Municipality-3 Chisapani on September 6 in accusation of sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl.
The victim was abused on March 24, 2019, and the complaint was filed on the same day at the Area Police of Office, Aabukhaireni.
Health checkup of the victim was conducted on March 24, 2019.
Following the victim’s complaint, the police arrested the accused on the same day and registered a case of child sexual abuse in the district court. The Tanahu district court had ordered his release on bail on April 18.
During the hearing of the case, the district court had sentenced the accused to two months and five days imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5,000. He was absconding without paying the jail sentence and fine as per the court order.
According to DSP Yuvaraj Timilsena of the District Police Office, Tanahun, the accused was arrested on September 7 while searching for the fugitives involved in various crimes and cases.
According to DSP Timilsena, the accused was taken to the district court in Tanahu on September 7 and sent to jail for payment and imprisonment.
