A complaint has been filed against 28-year-old Majuna Khatun and 28-year-old Jamuna Khatun of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan-2 for alleging a 57-year-old woman for witchcraft and beating her.
According to DSP Subash Khadka of the District Police Office, the victim had lodged a complaint alleging that the accused had beaten her on August 22.
‘As my daughter-in-law’s baby was born at the Teaching Hospital Nepalgunj, my husband and I went to the hospital to meet and wish them. When we returned home from the hospital to meet Majuna and Jamuna Khatun, they had beaten me, accusing me of killing the child with witchcraft, ‘said the victim.
According to DSP Khadka, the incident is being investigated and they will be arrested after receiving a court order.
Health checkup of the victim was conducted on August 31, 2020, at Bheri Hospital of Nepalgunj
