Police have arrested Lok Raj Pariyar (25) of Kalimati Rural Municipality-2 on August 15, in accusation of raping a 26-year-old woman, informed DSP Dhakendraa Khatiwada.
The victim informed INSEC representative over phone that the accused had raped her in Dhwalakanda forest on August 14 while she was returning home alone from in Kalimati Rural Municipality -3 after threshing wheat.
The health checkup of the victim was conducted at the District Health Service Office, Salyan on August 15, informed Dasharath Shrestha, Chief of the Health Service Office, Salyan.
The victim lodged a complaint at the District Police Office, Salyan on August 15 and the accused is kept in custody, informed the police.
