Police have arrested Shukla Rumba, (43) of Bhakta Lal Tole in Nijgadh Municipality-13 on August 14 in accusation of brutally beating and killing his wife Nirmala Gole Rumba (39) during a dispute.
According to Inspector Bikash Thapaliya of the Area Police Office, Nijgadh, the accused was handed over to them, by the District Police Office on August 14.
The father of the deceased said that he had counselled his son-in-law not to hit his daughter just a week ago.
He said that his only daughter was killed by his son-in-law and demanded action from the police administration.
Ram Nath Rumba, (45), elder brother of the deceased, said that he had lodged a written complaint at the Area Police Office, Nijgadh on August 13.
Inspector Thapaliya said that the body of the deceased was handed over to the family after post-mortem from Hetauda Hospital on August 13.
Nirmala, who was injured in her husband’s beating, died on the way to Hetauda Hospital for further treatment, imported Ram Nath Rumba, elder brother of the deceased.
