Police have arrested Gopal Tamang (45) of Udaypurgadi rural municipality-2 for being the district member of the banned Communist Party of Nepal which is led by Netra Bikram Chand (Biplov).
He was arrested on the accusation of placing explosive in a program held by Limchungwung rural municipality’s chairperson Major Rai on 27 January 2020, informed SP Bir Bahadur Buda Magar of District Police Office.
The police had received the information secretly and a special party had found him hiding in his residence.
Two cases have been filed against the accused of being involved in activities that are against the state. According to SP Buda Magar, Tamang and the other ten had kept pressure-cooker bomb outside chairperson Rai’s office. Nine including Tamang have been arrested and two are still on the run.
The explosives were diffused by the team of the Nepal Army.
