Government of Nepal has decided to continue the on-going lockdown till 27 April sensing the risk of infection of COVID-19.
After the cabinet meeting held at the residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar on 14 April, Finance, Information and Communication Minister; Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada, informed regarding the decision which is taken for the well-being of the citizens. The lockdown is prolonged till 27 April’s midnight.
In a press conference held at the Finance Ministry, Dr Khatiwada informed that the decision was taken considering the status and strategy adopted by the neighbouring nations.
He said- this decision is taken for the safety and well-being of the people living in the country. The lockdown is prolonged to the keep the international borders and open borders sealed for a certain period and if anyone is found disobeying it, they will be taken under legal action.
