The District Court of Dang has ordered to sentence 22 years old Manoj KC of Babai Rural Muicipality-7 for six years after finding him guilty on raping 15 years old girl.
A single bench of district court judge Hemanta Rawal had given the verdict regarding the case on June 15. The court had also ordered for the compensation of Rs 50,000 from the accused.
The victim was raped by an accused on May 9 and complaint against him was lodged at District Police Office on May 10.
He was arrested based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s family. She underwent health checkup at Rapti Health Institute on May 10 according to the police.
