The Area police office of Mirchaiya has arrested 24 years old Sunita Mandal of Dhanusha District Sabaila Municipality-13 on charge of killing his sister-in-law Kanchan Devi Mandal , 22 of Kalyanpur Municipality-8 by setting fire on her.
Prior to this , police had rescued the victim n April 25 after she was attempted to kill by setting fire by her husband Bechan Mandal, 24, mother-in-law Suraji Mandal,40 over a family dispute.
Immediately after her rescue she was rushed to Mangalam Hospital at Mirchaiya and was further referred to Kathmandu for treatment. She died while undergoing treatment in Kathmandu on April 26.
According to inspector Dinesh Gautam of Area Police Office of Mirchaiya, the victim’s mother-in-law was arrested for the investigation on April 25. He sister-in-law is further arrested for investigation according to police. The postmortem of the body was conducted at TUTH in Kathmandu on April 27 according to police.
