The patients are facing crisis after the doctors came into strike demanding their adjustment in federal level despite of provincial level. They have started their strike since April 6 and closed all health services except emergency services.
Karma Bahadur Shahi came from Kalikot for treatment at Bir Hospital however he is deprived of treatment due to the strike. He added that he is having financial crisis due to his prolonged stay in Kathmandu. “ I came to Kathmandu by borrowing Rs 10,000 and the money is about to finish without treatment of my ailment”, says Shahi.
Dr Dependra Pandey, chairperson of government Doctors Federation said that the strike will continue until their demand is not met.
