The district court of Udaypur has ordered to sentence 32 years old Manoj Rai of Belka Municipality-8 for 10 years after finding him guilty on raping 14 years old girl. The court has also ordered for the compensation of Rs 100,000 from the accused.
A single bench of District Court judge Tejendra Prasad Sapkota had given the verdict regarding the case. The accused had raped the girl on September 28 and complaint against him was lodged at Area Police Office of Rampur on September 30.
On September 31, the victim underwent health checkup at District Hospital of Bokse. The accused was remanded in custody since he was arrested.
