Police have arrested father and mother-in-law on charge of expelling lower cast daughter-in-law from the house.
20 years old Alisa B.K of Kumakh Rural Municipality-6 was expelled by them on charge of being from Dalit community. Police have arrested 45 years old father-in-law Yuddhabir Rawat and 42 years old mother-in-law Pimkali Rawat on February 16 from their house.
Police said that another accused 22-year-old Tika Ram Rawat, husband of the victim, is absconding.
The victim got married with Tika Ram Rawat in 2016 and since then the victims was being tortured based on her caste. Lately, on February 12 she was expelled from her house. The victim lodged an application at District Police Office on charge of discrimination.
The victim was settled in Khalanga in an initiation from INSEC. After the expulsion, she is stranded in Khalanga.
