The District Court of Bhojpur has ordered to sentence 30 years old husband for six months on charge of marital rape on his 28 years old wife.
A single bench of District Court judge Harishchandra Inganam had given the verdict regarding the case. The court has also ordered for the compensation of Rs 50,000 from the convict.
The victim was raped by an accused on October 11 and complaint against him was lodged at District Police Office on November 4 by the victim under marital rape.
He was remanded in custody by the court order on November 5 and victim underwent health checkup at District Hospital on November 5.
