Majority of local levels of Baitadi do not have ambulance services creating severe crisis among the patient with serious ailment. Seven of the local level do not have any ambulance service.
There are no ambulance services in Melauli Municipality, Pancheshwor Rural Municipality, Shiva Nath Rural Municipality, Dogadakedar Rural Municipality, Dilashaini Rural Municipality and Sunarya Rural Municipality.
Locals are pressurizing the local levels to provide ambulance services however in majority of local levels do not have easy road access. Some of the local levels said that the ambulance service is not provided as there are no easy road access.
Mayor Krishna Singh Nayak of Melauli Municipality said that the ambulance has already been purchased and within few days it will reach to the municipality.
Surnaya Rural municipality has already finished the tender process for purchasing ambulance and in near future ambulance services will be operated according to chairperson Bir Bahadur Bista of Surnaya Rural Municipality.
Similarly, Shivanath Rural Municipality has requested the province government for the purchase of an ambulance.
Patients with a serious ailment are compelled to lose their lives because of not having ambulance services. At present such patients are carried out in a stretcher and in majority of cases they died before reaching to the hospital.
Dashrath Chand Municipality, Patan Municipality and Purchaudi are having ambulance services.
