The participants in a program held in Baglung said that women and children victims of violence are facing difficulties because of not having emergency safe house in the district.
The participants raised the issues during the program held in Baglung by Informal Sector Service Centre (INSEC) on November 14.
Speaking at the program, coordinator Kaji Gaunle Shrestha of Civil Society Baglung said that there is no means of rescuing victims and accessing them to justice because of not having such safe houses.
He added that there is no proper management for the victims and justice is only for those aving access to the power.
He also said that the Human Rights Year Book published by INSEC is very useful and is using this book as a reference while going to various district.
INSEC Gandaki provincial coordinator Shiva Khakurel, OME officer Suvekchya Khadka of central Office and documentation officer Sumitra Bhattrai met CDO of Baglung and discussed the present human rights situation of the district.
