Chhabilal Poudel, the murderer convict of Krishna Prasad Adhikari of Phujel, Gorkha, has appeared himself before the Supreme Court on Sunday.
The Supreme Court has sent Poudel to custody at Dillibazaar today itself. Krishna Prasad was murdered on 6, 2004 while he was on the way to maternal uncle’s house in Chitwan.
Gangamaya, mother of Krishna Prasad, has been staging fast-onto-death for time and again since long demanding action against the murderers of her son while father Nanda Prasad Adhikari died on September 22, 2014 in course of hunger strike.
The then Hetauda Appellate Court on December 21, 2015 had ordered to release Poudel on bail while the Supreme Court had convicted him a guilty on charge of Krishna Prasad’s murder. Poudel, 68, surrender himself before the Supreme Court today after three years of Supreme Court verdict, it is said.
