The health professionals in Jumla are agitated demanding to save the life of Dr KC who has begun his hunger strike from June 30 demanding the reformation of health services. The health services of the district has been severely affected due to the agitation.
Health services at Karnali Health and Science Institute including , Karnali, Mugu, Humla, Dolpa have been affected by the agitation. Except the emergency services, all other services has been disrupted due to the agitation depriving the patients of their health rights.
The health condition of Dr KC is deteriorating and health professionals have demanded to take him to some safe place for treatment however, the administration is apathetic. Dr Pravin Giri said that it is impossible to treat him in a covered hall.
Similarly, INSEC Mugu district representative Jeevan Sejuwal said that health professionals have shown solidarity on the demand made by Dr KC. They are in agitation demanding the government to address the issues raised by Dr KC. The health services of the district has been affected due to the agitation. All health services except emergency, has been disrupted.
