The District Court of Sindhuli has ordered to sentence 25 years old Shyam Kumar Damai of Marani Rural Municipality-Chaukitaar for 8 years and three months after finding him guilty on raping 14 years old girl after marrying her.
A single bench of District Court judge Purneshwor Prasad Upadhyaya had given the verdict regarding the case. The court has also ordered for the penalty of Rs 1000 and compensation of Rs 5,000 from the convict.
A complaint against the accused was lodged by his wife Shanti Darji,23 on March 9 at District Police Office.
