Police have arrested 22 years old Rajunda Shahi, 19 years old Srijana Shahi and 18 years old Durga Shahi on June 6 on charge of killing 42 years old ward member Mana Sarki of Narahari Nath Rural Municipality-9 by beating. The victim was elected as a ward member from Dalit quota.
The victim’s party claimed that Sarki was beaten to death on charge of having physical relationship with Kammar Shahi, father of accused. The victim’s son Padam Nepali had already lodged an FIR against the accused and they were arrested for investigation based on complaint lodged according to inspector Niraj Chaulagain. The dead body is sent to District Hospital for postmortem.
The incident is condemned by Dalit Service Federation, Dalit NGOs Federation and Nepal National Dalit Wale fare Federation.
