Diarrhea that has been spread at ward 3 and 4 in Shantinagar Rural Municipality from the last five days is still not in control according to the health post. Health post in charge Hari Pun said that more than 1375 patients including 50 children have received treatment and more than thousand are still waiting for treatment. Some of the patients are receiving treatment at local health post and some of them are in Rapti Zonal ospital.
It is suspected that there is a contamination in Mailipani drinking water resource tank due to the entry of polluted water in it.
The water tank has been cleaned and locals are being distributed water via tanker from Tulsipur according to Rural Municipality chairperson Kaman Singh Dangi.
The health posts said that there are enough stock of medicine and the patients are continuously coming for checkup.
Meanwhile, two schools in ward 3 and 4 are closed after the spreading of Diarrhea affecting the study of more than 1200 students.
