The laborers of Gulmi complained of not getting wages on time when the government is planning to increase the wages of laborers.
The stakeholders while speaking at the program on the occasion of 129th international Labor Day complained that laborers are not getting wages on time. The program was organized by construction labor rights protection committee on May 1.
Labor Ram Bahadur Pariyar said that contractors are exploiting them by employing them over time and not giving wages on time. He added that laborers are not getting any benefits provided by the act.
Labor Geeta Devi Thapa while speaking said that most of them only limits their saying on speech however in reality, the picture is different. She accused contractors of exploiting and suppressing laborers.
There is labor rights protection committee in the district however none of the laborers are aware of it.
