The District Prison of Dracula is facing space issues as there are increasing number of inmates and detainees. It has a capacity to accommodate 25 inmates and detainees however there are 46 inmates and detainees in the prison. They are facing difficulties of clean drinking water, treatment and electricity according to jailer Amar Singh Mahara.
The prison has capacity to accommodate 15 female and 25 male however there are 49 inmates and detainees including one dependent. The prison building is in dilapidated condition and the administration is facing difficulties on managing the inmates and detainees.
The prison administration has been informing about the issues from time to time to the concerned authority however it has not been addressed yet. Inmates and detainees are facing issues on their basic rights such as right to food, treatment and health etc.
