A complaint against Ram Chandra Budathoki,24 of Chandrapur Municipality-9, father-in-law Shiva Bahadur Budathoki and mother-in-law Shiva Maya Budathoki was lodged at Area Police Office on Aprul 13 by the victim’s family of 22 years old Sanu Budathoki on charge of killing her in dowry dispute.
The victim had married Ram Chandra Budathoki in Hindu culture seven years ago and also has one daughter. She was tortured by the family member accusing her of not bringing enough dowry. The victim was said to be died by consuming poison however the victim’s family claimed that she was murdered in a dowry dispute.
The accused Ram Chandra and Shiva Bahadur have been arrested by the police for investigation according to DSP Shanti Raj Koirala of DPO.
The body has been sent to Kathmandu TUTH for postmortem .
