The person with disability from the west-Rukum have complained of not getting guarantee on their rights. They complained that they are still deprived of not getting education, health and employment rights according to Chairperson Bhim Bahadur Dangi of Disability Protection Forum.
They complained that the society have not changed the way it is looking to the disabled person. They also complained that there has been negligence in budget allocation by the local level, lack of disabled friendly structure and no discount in public vehicles.
Vice-chief Indira Budamagar of Rukum West said that in some cases, people not having disability are also receiving allowances. She further said that such people will be charged if found guilty.
According to the census of 2011, the population of Rukum is 2,8,567 and 5,922 are disabled people.
