The normal lives of the people have been affected by the strike called on by Nepal Communist Party demanding the release of their arrested cadres. The Bandh affected Salyan, Bardiya, Banke, Rolpa, Pyuthan and Dolpa districts under INSEC Nepalgunj.
According to Bardiya District representative Man Bahadur Chaudhary, long and short distance transportation were affected due to the Bandh. Majority of the shops were closed today.
According to Banke district representative Binod Pandey, the bandh affect was directly seen in teaching institutions. The student’s studies were affected by the strike and most of the teaching institute, colleges and schools were closed today. Similarly, long and short distance transportation was affected as well.
In Pyuthan, schools, colleges, transportation and market was directly affected by the bandh. Transportation from the district and to the district was directly affected by the strike according to district representative Rabindra Pandey.
Similarly, the lives in Salyan were affected by the strike according to the district representative Meena Budathoki. Police arrested Narayan Oli and Niraj Chettri of Nepal Communist Party. They were forcefully closing the market in Kapurkot according to police. Majority of teaching institutes and transportation was affected by the bandh.
Similar effect of Bandh was seen in Rolpa and Dolpa according to the INSEC district representatives.
