Locals have staged sit-in-protest in front of the office of District Public Health Office after there was a shortage in medicine and doctors in Area Health Posts at Dandaphaya, Simkot Rural Municipality-7 since last 2 weeks.
Local Chakka Singh complained District Public Health Office of being negligent on such a serious issue. He said that locals are compelled to return empty handed after neither doctors nor medicine are available in the health post. The health post is locked since 2 weeks, local said.
The Area Health Post was operated since 8 years by only one ANM Pushpa Shahi and locals are demanding to bring her back. DPH dr Ramjit Kumar Yadav committed to solve the issue.
