The election commission which is an implementing body for the election code of conduct itself is found to be using children for election dissemination in Kaplivastu district. Children are used by the election office for putting polling dissemination materials in Buddhabhumi Municipality-4 on November 24.
INSEC district representative has taken some pictures of children being mobilized by the office to put election related materials.
Commission is claiming that volunteers have been mobilized for the voter’s education however locals at Buddhi-4 said that they did not come to the village.
According to assistant secretary Bibek Paudel of youth network for Human Rights, it is very sad to see that implementing body itself is using children for election related activities.
Assistant CDO Rameshwor Aryal said that it is the violation of election code of conduct by the district election office itself for using children and cautioning the office is necessary.
