Bomb Explosion on Left Alliance assembly leaves eight injured

At least eight people were injured in a bomb explosion on an assembly of left alliance at Radha Krishna Mandir in Chandrapur Municipality-5 on November 18. Among the injured one child along with three are in critical condition.

The left alliance had organized election assembly at Chandrapur Municipality ward number 5 in context of parliamentary and state assembly election on November 26. The bomb exploded after the assembly when lunch was being distributed according to former parliamentarian Ram Kumar Bhattari.

The injured were 31 years old Sarita Rai of Chandrapur Municipality-5, her seven years old son Jism Rai, Laxmi Rai,45, Ram Bahadur B.K,54, Kanta Khatri,48, Gopal B.K,39, Dil Maya rai,45 and Yamuna Kafle 50 according to Area Police Office of Chandranigahapur.

All injured are receiving treatment at Chandranigahapur Hospital. According to the police the bomb was planted in a floor and was exploded while lunch was being distributed.

According to DSP Shantaram Koirala of DPO, the bomb was detonated by using remote. No one has taken responsibility of the incident yet and the incident is under investigation.
