The consumers of a good in the district are facing difficulties after the local vendors are selling expired food and there is lack of monitoring by the concerned body.
The expired consumer’s products such as dry foods and rice are being sold by the local vendors due to the apathy shown by the District Administration Office for proper monitoring. There has been market monitoring committee formed in the district in coordination with assistant CDO however it is inactive.
CDO Laxmi Prasad Baskota however claimed that the responsibility of monitoring is of acting CDO. He added that he do not know about it as he was recently appointed.
CDO Baskota said that he will expedited the monitoring soon.
