The victim’s family of 13 years old Raja Mandal of Bihari Village council-10, Thera has accused Janakpur zonal hospital and health personnel being responsible for the death of their son.
The victim boy was rushed to the hospital after suffering from high fever on July 19 and the hospital denied of admitting him saying that there is no bed. The boy was again rushed in the evening after he became serious and the health personnel started his treatment. The victim’s family accused nurse Nain Tara Shah and Kabita Chaudhary of misbehaving the patients family.
The victim’s condition was critical and he passed away on the morning of July 21 after injection was given to him. Kailash, the boy’s father was arrested by the police after he charged laathi to the nurse after the incident however he was released later. The district administration office has formed five member investigation committee to probe the incident. After the discussion with hospital management and victim’s family, the committee was formed in coordination with Ramprabodh Mahato of hospital development committee.
