A woman was severely beaten by her parents in Marchawari village council-6, Dihuli on July 20 on charge of having love affair with a Dalit youth of the same place. She was publicly beaten by her family members after finding that she was having an affair with a lower caste man. The woman was already married when she was small.
The family controlled Dinesh after finding about their love affairs and was beaten by the members. The victim woman attempted to protect him from beatings and even she was severely beaten by her family members. The footage was viral in social media.
Police have initiated the investigation of the incident after the footage was viral in social media.
According to DSP Bel Bahadur Pandey of District Police Office said that Area Police Office of Mirchawar has been directed to arrest the accused for the investigation. SI Nareshwor Aryal of Area Police Office said that accused father will be charged under the public offence. Local Hari Lal Kewat said that they were abused based on inter racial love affair.
