The compensation amount for the conflict victims were not distributed even at the end of this financial year and because of this, the allocated budget amount is frozen and conflict victims were deprived of relief and compensation.
The District Administration Office said that out of the allocated amount, 2 crore and 47 lakhs for the displaced people and 12 lakhs allocated for the deceased families have been frozen. The Chief District Officer Binod Kumar Khadka said that because of not getting the application on time and other technical issues, the distribution was obstructed.
The victims however complained that due to the lack of information, they could not lodge an application. They further said that the information was given only at the time of distributing amount. In the district, two disappeared, 171 locals and 19 police families are waiting for the compensation and relief amount.
