The District Court of Jumla has ordered for life imprisonment to Dan Bahadur Buda of Phaimahadev of Kalikot after finding him guilty on murdering his wife. Prior to this decision, the accused was acquitted by the court due to the lack of evidences.
He was charged for murdering his wife in 2016 April 12 by throwing his wife in to the river. On August 29,of the same year he was given acquittal by the court because of not having enough evidences.
The victim’s relative Sarita Bogati had lodged writ at high court of Jumla against the accused demanding for justice. On July 13, the court ordered for life imprisonment to the accused along with the confiscation of his property after finding him guilty on murder.
